LED Technology and working principle of Light Emitting Diode

LED in forwarding bias state, LED Technology lights spectrum, including red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and white single color. Colors of the light depending upon the quality of LED’s materials.Competition between LED vs LCD in the market led earned more popularity. LED bulbs are more popular in the market.
Operation of the Light Emitting Diode OR LED Technology from the Electroluminescence Principle:-
LED technology explained since above image, the LED chip diode OR LED diode lies middle center point between anode post and cathode post.Anode post is held with mild steel lead frame anode lead and Cathode post is held with mild steel lead frame cathode lead.Could be said also, both are connected with a pair of electric wires.Where anode lead is longer than the cathode lead.The total arrangement encapsulated in epoxy dome lens.
By applying forward bias and the potential difference between anode lead and cathode lead, LED diode current flows from anode p-side to the cathode n-side unidirectionally not reverse direction.Charge carriers electrons and holes move towards p-n junction and take place recombination between each other.Then liberates of energy in form of a photon as well as radiates visible lights. LED lights bulbs are available in single color red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and white single color. Colors of the light depending upon the quality of LED’s manufacturing materials. LEDs can be switched ON and OFF simple two-step control action mode at very fast speed 1ns.
Generally, LED always works in forwarding bias but except in case of two lead LED lamps which contain two LEDs, by applying there reverse bias color could be changed from green to red or vice-versa for the material of Gallium Phosphide (GaP). LED materials are Gallium Arsenide Phosphide (GaAsP), color could be changed from red to yellow or vice-versa. Latest LED Technology & New LED technology are based on the above mentioned this Theory.
